This a suggestion I have in mind since the alpha, and now that the game is out, it's time to give it.
Hi, this suggestion add an extra option when creating a game to play with the discard visible and some sign on the cards.
Each card you have in hand will have some signs depending of which tasks are in play, as a reminder that these tasks are important for a certain task.
Here is the differents sign you could choose for each card:
- the tasks which ask for a specific card to be won like p7 for task #79 on my screen, will get a certain sign like an arrow
- the tasks which ask to win no 1 for a player like b1/g1/p1/y1 for task #12 on my screen, will get a certain sign like an interdiction sign
- when a player need to win the next trick or can't win the next trick like tasks #17 or #18, you will have a sign of cup OR interdiction at the top or the bottom of the name of the player
- when a card is needed to win a certain trick like b2/g2/p2/y2 for task #36, those cards will get a certain sign like a cup (at best, only for the player holding the task)
- tasks #69, #70, #82, #83 will get a minor sign like a point for the cards which matter for this task
- tasks #72 to #79 could add a rocket sign to all rockets as soon as at least one of those tasks is on play
- tasks #80 and #81 would add a special sign like an arrow with an interdiction to said you can't start with those
And those signs should be refreshed after each turn in case some tasks has been sucessful.
And that's it, I know that's a lot of work, and there was some plugins in hanabi create some years after the release to track this kind of things, but for players who play the epilogue, that look great to me.
