Clearing cookies and cache made it worse. Once I did that I could not even log in with a normal window. I have to log in from a Chrome Incognito window now. I don't have adblockers.

It seemed relevant because it's trying to be called from en.boardgamearena.com/account and that's where the Login button is non-functional in the non-Incognito window.

Same on Firefox 99 + NoScript, with quite strict setting (I use it to not be tracked by Google/Facebook/Amazon/...).
If I allow one specific domain, "googletagmanager.com", it works, I can play and post this message.
I have only one tab in my browser, and before opening new tabs I will disconnect, disallow this domain and clean my browser: very annoying!
May be this domain has irregular problems, explaining problems for other players?

Clearing BGA cookies and logging back in seemed to work until I closed the tab and revisited BGA, which returned back to the error state.
I'm able to get to my games by going directly to boardgamearena.com/gameinprogress and selecting my games there (however, no current turns are displayed with hourglasses).
I am not able to see invites for new games.

My situation is exactly like USDescartes' except I am using macOS 10.15.7 and Chrome 100, and did not update anything since the last time everything worked (last night).

- The error does not appear on Microsoft Edge but only in Chrome (Chrome is up to date - Version 100.0.4896.88 (Official Build) 64-bit)
- BGA works for std new game but cannot see my personal profile and active game

I have the same problem after Firefox update 99.0.1 today.
For the main part of the site, I cannot see the BGA main icon on the left, and my avatar, my current games and notifications. Intermitent bug depending on the page which is currently displayed.

My situation is similar to the one of other posters :
- Windows 8.1
- Chrome version 100.0.4896.88 (Official Build) 64-bit
- I always clear all browsing data after logging out
Fortunately, a poster suggested me trying with private browsing, and it worked for me.
I also tried to deactivate my adblock (I use Avira) and it worked too with normal browsing.

The specific message I receive:

It's very strange, but somehow going to certain forums can "fix" the problem temporarily and show the top right stuff again (not the bug reporting one though), but refreshing somewhere else will trigger the "Callback error: ReferenceError: ga is not defined" thing again.

I have the same trouble: not able to access games (had to quit 2 without even having the option to see the game), not seeing my profile at all).
This notification is appearing each time I try to do something (refresh page, go on another page, clicking on any link)...
I just updated all my applications so they were in order and have Windows 11 since this morning.

Rafraichissement et forcage donne l'erreur suivante :

Site oublier (cookies, data, ...) problème persiste toujours et du coup
Impossible de se logger, l'erreur apparait aussi.

Seems to be in connection with the accept screen not showing up. I create a table and if it starts automatically i don't have to accept (though i have to click the "go to table" button as the start/accept game start page doesn't show) but if i join a table.... i have to shift to my mobile to accept table setup/game for it to start.
The BGA logo and profile, friends icon, and game tables icon all have disappeared.

Some wrote about about googletagmanager.com and that may play a role. I wrote above that gtm.js will not load in in non-private windows.

Prompted by Khayzhard's entry above, I disabled AdBlock Pro for boardgamearena.com. That seems to have removed the symptoms.

I tried allowing www.googletagmanager.com in uBlockOrigin, but while this brought back the upper-right icons for a page refresh or two, I was still getting the callback error... and the icons DID disappear again.
Next, I unblocked the bga website in the Disconnect extension of Firefox, and this has COMPLETELY fixed the issue, as far as I can tell.

I’m accessing the website via safari on an iPad. I don’t have any adblockers installed, but my pihole appears to be causing the error. When I switch to cellular data (i.e., no pihole), I don’t get the error.

I have the same issue in Firefox on Linux.
Allowing googletagmanager appears to have partially resolved this.
I am no longer getting the callback error, although the top right icons on the page (games in progress, friends online status) keep intermittently vanishing. Refreshing the page brings these icons back

Thanks for all your feedback. It seems that a fraction of BGA users has some privacy features / extensions enabled causing issue with a dependency. We'll try a workaround today to prevent this issue from occurring.

Workaround is in place. As we haven't been able to reproduce on our side (even when blocking the specified resource), could you help us by confirming that the issue is solved for you? (you might need to F5 or CTRL+F5, but no need to clear cookies)

Same here, it seems to work fine again (and I confirm that I have privacy extensions like Ghostery and AdBlocker Ultimate active in my browser).

A friend of mine had the same problem yesterday using Opera. We could avoid it when switching "Tracker blockieren" (block trackers) in Preferences to "Off". Looks like google changes something on their pages (related to the support of login using google account on BGA?) that breaks many users who have any add blocker or tracking blocker active, even if they use an BGA-only account and not the "login via google account" feature.
It was reproducible before your workaround was implemented. The message already happend in private window before any login data was insered into the fields, meaning it is independent of the individual user accounts.
