I got the required 3 smashes. I rolled 4 while in Tokyo, and was augmented by Cheerleader to make it 5. This killed off all but the Zombie (as intended)

I had the required energy to buy the costume from the Zombie, but could not do so.

I am presuming that, because the Zombie was at 0 health already, he didn’t “take damage”, so I couldn’t buy the costume. This, however, would make the Zombie costume invincible if you can get to 0 health before anyone can take it from you.

Wording on the costume itself, though, says if you lose the costume while at 0 health, you are automatically eliminated. How can this situation arise, though, if the Zombie doesn’t actually receive damage?
