In particular, it's possible to open an incognito browser window to see what your opponent has done. I assume that's against the rules? You could certainly abuse it by copying a stronger opponent's moves through the whole game.
A more minor thing: players can also see if their opponents have used a crossroads before they've played their own turn. -
